Bereavement services are an essential part of our hospice program, offering support to patients’ families both before and after a loved one’s passing. Our medical social worker and spiritual counselor provide guidance and education on anticipatory grief, helping families navigate the emotional challenges that arise during a terminal illness.
Following the patient’s death, hospice continues to support grieving families for up to one year. Services may include grief counseling, support groups, phone calls, and individual visits, with referrals to additional community resources available for needs beyond the scope of hospice support.
